Ngozi Okoro, A Woman of Inner Strength and Ability!
Ngozi Okoro had a difficult childhood in a coal town in Enugu State, Nigeria under the rules, discipline and watchful eyes of her pedantic parents. While her classmates and friends played around, Ngozi spent countless hours under the strict supervision of her parents being taught the ways of morality and the Word. Her father wanted her to grow up well and become a great example to her younger siblings.
Although it was not all rosy for her, Lolo Ngozi Okoro is a successful woman who has positively influenced the hearts and minds of the youth, teaching women to work for themselves while glorifying the Name of the Lord with ease.
Lolo Ngozi Okoro is from Amankalu Alayi in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. She loves God. She married a business magnate, Chief John Okoro at the age of twenty, but had a primary infertility problem for fifteen years. It was not easy for her because of the importance attached to having children in this part of the world.
However, the fact that she lived a chaste life as a girl strengthened her determination and faith in God for a miracle. In the midst of so many troubles and depressions, her great love for God sustained her. She maintained a pure and true relationship with God. Despite everything she went through, her faith in God never wavered.
She had literally everything she wanted materially and financially, but it was not the best for her because she did not have a child.
One day, she had a dream and was guided into that dream to share, engage and inspire new ideas of entrepreneurship among women; building a community of developed, innovative leaders among them. She was asked to look away from what she was going through and start a journey towards visionary innovations that aim to reach broad coverage and have a multi-generational impact on the country’s economic growth. She wrote down all the strategies and started building structures to help women achieve success. She taught and nurtured many women, educated their children and gave them hope for the future.
In the economic capital of Benin, her name rings as a woman who gives food to the poor and helps the oppressed. Even in difficult moments of her life, she helped pregnant women by praying with them and for them, went with them to the delivery rooms, paid their bills, made the baptism of their children a great success, clothes and paid school fees for the children. She was happy to give good meaning to lives and positively influence the people in her world.
She honestly followed her interests and beliefs. She always sang praises to God regardless of her almost insurmountable challenge. She never gave up on herself!
At one point it became so dark that it seemed as if the whole world had turned against her; occasionally, when there was no one to talk to, absolutely no one to talk to, he would stand in front of his mirror and be encouraged in the Lord! She stated that she is successful and is a testimony to other women. She continued to speak the Word and trust God for her testimony. This is an endeavor that many women must learn and apply.
In 1995, she traveled to Germany for a medical examination in an attempt to change her situation. A European doctor told her that upon her arrival her blood level was about 40%, her weight about 65 kg; and the medical experts wanted to know if she was eating at all She spent so much money on medicine and had IVF three times, but they all failed.
In 1998, broken and confused, she returned to Africa after being diagnosed with non-functioning ovaries and a blocked egg.
In 2003, she came into contact with the president of Sisters Fellowship International. After studying, not just reading Her testimony, she knew her own miracle was on the way, and she was next in line for the divine touch. She became more committed to impacting her world with the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. She knew that God wanted her service, so she gave herself completely to the gospel. The day she joined Sisters Fellowship International was the day she became president of the fellowship in Cotonou, Republic of Benin.
About a year later, her story changed; she went to Lagos, Nigeria for minor surgery, after which the doctor told her that if she didn’t fit in with a family within three months, it meant she would never have a biological child of her own. The first two months passed and nothing happened, but she continued to practice her faith. Towards the end of the third month, she went to the office and played with a two-year-old French baby, and immediately the baby began to rattle off the French language., the baby is inside.
She was ashamed, handed the baby to her mother, ran into her office to look at the calendar. She realized that her period had passed, she went for a test and it was confirmed, she was pregnant after 15 years! She gave birth to her first child in August 2005 and the whole city of Cotonou stood still for hours, people ran to her residence to see this testimony for themselves. What a miracle! Today, she enjoys marriage with two wonderful children from the Lord.
She is currently the Area President of Sisters Fellowship International, Republic of Benin; president of Destiny Builders’ International and co-host of the award-winning Relationships-Entrepreneurship-Authority-Leadership International Youth Conference, Cotonou. She influences her world by investing her personality. Her influence and contribution to the lives of young people and women is quite inspiring and should be emulated.
