What is Covered by La-Z-Boy’s Limited Lifetime Warranty

The Lazy Boy Recliner Limited Warranty is one of the best in the furniture industry and includes a lifetime warranty on several mechanical parts of their products – including recliner mechanisms, sleeper sofa mechanisms, spring and spring systems, swivel base and wood frame parts. Remember, the lifetime warranty covers parts only and labor costs are usually only covered for one year.

The Limited Lifetime Warranty covers only the person who originally purchased the recliner from an authorized dealer. If you bought your recliner second-hand then the warranty is not transferable. Fabric and leather are usually covered for one year for manufacturing and material faults only, and other materials have a warranty ranging from one to ten years.

The warranty covers repair, exchange or replacement of the defective part and it is at Lazy Boy’s sole discretion which option to choose. The warranty does not provide for any refund of the purchase price. Items purchased “as is” or as clearance items from authorized dealers are not covered by the Lazy Boy Limited Lifetime Warranty, so check first before purchasing.

To make a warranty claim, you should contact the authorized dealer where you purchased your Lazy Boy recliner. However, if that dealer is no longer available, you can contact another authorized dealer as long as you still have the original proof of purchase. If you feel that your dealer has not honored the warranty, you can write directly to La-Z-Boy Incorporated customer service.
